What is Interview?

three weeks ago  we learned about interview. What is interview? Elements of interview and the stages of interview.
Interview is conversation between two or more people, employers use interviews to size up the whole individual.
Elements of the interview are: Interaction, purpose and exchange.

• interaction is the sharing of ideas, messages, information between the parties in the interview.
• purpose is the main reason for conducting and interview; defines the interview.
• exchange is the continual shift in communication and control that happens during an interview situation.

The stages of the interview are: Introduction stage, body stage and closing stage.

• introduction stage is first part of the interview and build rapport between the parties in the exchange.
• body stage is the stage in the interview where participants often focus on elaborating personal goals, opinions and beliefs.
• closing stage- during this stage the interviewee usually say their final thoughts and summarize the exchange that look place.

 



Next thing that we learned is How to write a Cover letter, I have known something how to write it but in ESP2 we learned it in details: types of cover letter, how to start (use an interesting opening), how to write a body of cover letter (our qualification, experiences) and how to end it.

we started to talk in generally about syllabus, in the second part of class we talked about Communication, types of communication: intrapersonal communication, business communication, interpersonal communication, verbal communication and public communication. something from this lessons we had known, this was very effective class even we started from 8 o'clock, all of us said something about communication.

hello everyone
we are again together with our teacher Luiza, in ESP2 classes, in previous semester ESP1 we learned a lot of new things about presentations, in ESP2 we will learn more about our career: how to write a Cover letter, CV, how to prepare for a job interview, etc.
in previous semester we had great time together, I hope that in this semester we will have great time too.

persuasive presentation

Last week in ESP classes we had persuasive presentation, all of us had different topic, and I think that everybody did it better than the first one.
My topic was "Smoking in public places", I showed to you some reasons why smoking to banned in public places. I was stressed but not same like in first presentation. this time I haven't start from beginning.
I hope that I did it better than informative presentation.
I would like to thank our teacher Luiza that helped us how to do it better.
I wish you good luck in the third and last presentation for this semester.
